Bobbie Deuell is a self taught Fine Artist living in Ocala, Florida . Her passion is art and subjects are animals and people. Portraits are her focus although she enjoys and is skilled at landscape as well. Bobbie lives in the heart of Horse Country and only a short distance from the Gorgeous Florida Horse Park. World Class Equine events are held there on a regular basis. She is never at a loss for inspiration! Deuell prefers her subjects to be in a natural, casual setting that captures the special relationship between people and their animals. Her primary medium are soft pastels but she is skilled in Oils, Colored Pencils, watercolor and learning the art of Scratchboard as well. Deuell has exhibited at the prestigious American Academy of Equine Art in Lexington, Kentucky, and the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners' Association in Ocala, Florida. She has been a guest artist in numerous venues including the USDF Regional Finals and the HITS(Horse Shows in the Sun) Equine Art Gala. She also has exhibited at numerous Canine events including Bark About Art and Dog Agility trials, and a frequent participant in the First Friday Art Walk in Ocala. Her paintings are in private collections throughout the United States. Her photographs have been used for many advertisements and private collections and she was juried in to the "24 Hours In Ocala" exhibit and book Deuell is a member of the STRIDE Dressage Club, Canine Art Guild and the Pastel Society of Central Florida.
